Post 4; Jordan Blog Adversity

Jordan was born in Brooklyn, New York. He attended Wilmington Laney's High School where he was first know for his skills as a baseball player. He was rejected at first and did not play on his school's varsity basketball team. His coach at the time believed that more playing time on the junior varisty team would be more beneficial to him. On the junior varisty team during his sophomore year, Jordan averaged 25 points per game. Jordan was five foot, eleven inches at this time. Over the summer, Jordan attended several basketball camps to improve his skills. His brother, Larry, assisted him in learning the significance of competition in basketball. Larry would play one on one games with Jordan. By the time fall had arrived, Jordan had grown to six foot, three inches and was confident in making the varisty team. As he had hoped, he made the varsity squad as a junior and was very valuable to the team.
